Tests are inevitable and good

Our worship (gives us) simple steps towards Allah; but tests, if a person succeeds in them, act like comets.

Tests continue all the time; and every test is going to be against our will’s desires. It may be difficult to carry, but if you know that it is coming according to the power of your faith, then you can be patient.  Nothing is coming greater than our capacity, only just according to our capacity.

Tests come from children, husbands, wives, neighbours, animals – so many different kinds of test.  As long as you are patient it is good for you.

Abu Yazid Bistami was quiet and patient with his wife and children. Then he left his house and went around to see what disliked thing would come to him, seeing if he could carry it or not.  He said to himself, “In your own village it may be easy – if so you must go to foreign places to see if you can carry that.”

 Abu Yazid was running to foreign people to see if he could carry them;  but now a man can’t even carry one wife and a wife can’t carry one man – always arguing now.  We are ordered to be like Allah; and He is carrying billions.

Allah is sending rains for sustenance but we, in our time are such difficult ones.  Why aren’t we carrying others?  We must carry all people.  Don’t be angry.  Perhaps later that person may turn to their Lord; perhaps that one has a secret rank among people. You can’t know; sometimes that one is carrying a whole load of others on their shoulders.

 It is good for a beginner to be patient in their house and family, with neighbours and with others. Then you may widen your circle to include the whole of mankind. Then you should reach to Prophet Muhammad’s station – not to prophethood, but reaching the same level because you have the same attributes as the Prophet.

 For every level of faith you must accept a test to rise in faith-level – and the levels of faith are never-ending.
